Poole Harbour is a pretty amazing place for wannabe (and the more experienced) kite surfers.It's a popular sport here in Sandbanks due to the very shallow water in the bay, making it very safe for beginners.
The Watersports Academy run daily courses and rent out equipment so that you can surf to your hearts content. Check out their other activities too including paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing. (No affiliation, I just love to see the pretty colours ).
