Haven Hotel
You won't need to travel far to sample this historic hotel's finest as it's right next door. The Point restaurant is highly acclaimed and provides an occasion to dress up (but smart casual is ok too). Chef Jason Hornbuckle prides himself on using local produce as much as he can. The hotel also offers an excellent afternoon tea.

Rick Stein
Probably the most popular restaurant on the Peninsula. You may want to book a table before your holiday as this place gets very busy. The menu is mainly fish (obviously) but we can also highly recommend the steak. Make sure you book the Harbour View Restaurant for spectacular views (they really are). Time your booking for just before sunset. You'll be wowed.

Loch Fyne
Part of a chain of restaurants offering mainly fish dishes but caters for meat eaters and veggies too. Nice ambience, good food and a fair price. Does what it says on the can.

Jazz Cafe
A great little cafe situated along the coast offering breakfast, lunch and snacks and the occasional Jazz night too. Open all year round, a roaring fire is very welcome in the winter months.

Coffee Saloon, Canford Cliffs
If you're up for a 4.5 mile round walk, head inland towards Poole, turn right up Haven Road towards Canford Cliffs. Stop off for coffee and a slice of their delicious banana cake at Coffee Saloon and then drop down to the beach and walk back.

The Boatyard Cafe Bar
Situated within the Sandbanks Yacht Co but open to the public. Serves breakfast and lunch with the backdrop of Poole Harbour.

TJs Fish & Chip Takeaway, Lilliput
A short car journey but worth it for an easy early supper. Tip: a regular portion of chips is enough for 2 people! You can park right outside on a less busy day. If busy, bob down one of the residential side streets.
